First Project with TU/e Successfully Completed
ELiAR BV has successfully completed a collaborative project with the Department of Industrial Engineering at Eindhoven University of Technology (TU/e), carried out within the framework of a Bachelor Ending Project (BEP). The study focused on developing a decision-support approach for the dynamic scheduling of steam demand in textile dyeing processes, addressing a key operational challenge in modern dyehouses.
Textile dyeing is a highly energy-intensive process in which steam plays a central role for heating and temperature control. Since steam is typically generated centrally and shared across multiple machines, simultaneous heating phases can create peak demand situations, leading to inefficiencies, increased operational costs, and production instability.
